C1553 BMW Fault Code

Description:

Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor in Range But Low The comprehensive component monitor (CCM) monitors the FRP pressure for acceptable fuel pressure. The test fails when the fuel pressure falls below a calibrated value.

Low fuel pressure Damaged BMW FRP sensor Excessive resistance in circuit Low or no fuel A FRP PID value below 551 kpa (80 psi) indicates a failure Low or no fuel A FRP PID value greater than 896 kpa (130 psi) indicates a failure.

C1553 Code Symptoms :

While fuel economy was increased, acceleration was seriously compromised, and the loss of engine vacuum led to a dangerous loss of braking assist when the C1553 code system was in four-cylinder mode. How to fix C1553 code ?

As the engine heats up and combustion becomes easier and more complete, the PCM will command the idling control valve to increase the amount of air entering the engine to suit the changing conditions.

However, when the load on the engine changes, say, when some electrical consumers or other systems are either turned on or off, the PCM adapts the signal voltage to the idle control valve to ensure that the idling speed remains stable, and at the RPM specified by the manufacturer.
